Il était une fois, en 1990, deux amis Marseillais, passionnés par la décoration et le design décident de revisiter une vieille tradition : l’emblématique cube du savon de Marseille. Conscients de la place qu’il occupe dans le patrimoine culturel et industriel en Provence, ils décident de le réinterpréter de manière moderne et contemporaine.

En 1999, La Compagnie de Provence innove en étant la première à proposer une version liquide inédite du savon de Marseille. Fabriqué à l’ancienne en chaudron à partir d’huiles végétales comme son ancêtre solide, il est présenté dans un flacon pompe en verre aux codes graphiques marqués et épurés. Cette invention originale donne à la marque une envergure internationale et renforce son image de modernité qu’elle ne cesse de cultiver depuis.

En 2013, la société s’adosse un groupe dermatologique Italien pour accélérer son développement et répondre davantage aux exigences des consommatrices en matière de qualité, d’innovation et de cosméticité.
