The La Jolla Music Society is a mid-sized, multi-disciplinary presenting organization based at the brand-new Conrad Prebys Performing Arts Center in La Jolla, California. Founded nearly forty years ago, it has been a significant contributor to San Diego's cultural life. Its October-to-May season offers a diverse slate of experiences, including internationally touring orchestras, chamber music ranging from solo recitals to string quartets and early music specialists, a wide-ranging jazz series, and dance performances in ballet, modern, and post-modern idioms. Its signature SummerFest is a three-week festival featuring performances, live broadcasts, open rehearsals, educational encounters, pre-concert talks, and social events.
