La Maestra Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center network based in San Diego, California, serving emerging communities across San Diego County. Founded in 1990 with one volunteer physician, it has grown into a PCMH-3-accredited organization focused on delivering quality health care and education. Its services cover primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, women's health, laboratory and imaging, telehealth, dental and vision, and behavioral health. The centers also provide integrated enabling and social services, including transportation, interpretation in 30 languages, and assistance with health coverage. They primarily serve underserved, ethnically diverse populations, including immigrants and refugees, low-income individuals and the homeless, with expansions such as the 2021 El Cajon facility upgrade to broaden access.
