Double Gold Medal and 3x Silver Medal Winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2020 La Tierra de Acre Mezcal began as a bootleg operation in 2017, tucked away in the foothills of San Jose del Cabo at Acre Baja, a lush sanctuary set on 25 acres of abundant greenery. Featuring elegant treehouses, organic farms, private event spaces, and an award-winning bar and restaurant. A place where connection and celebration is at the heart of everything. Acre Mezcal is an excuse to gather, catch up with old friends, and meet new ones. It’s a reflection of culture and exploration, rooted in a lifestyle of grounded luxury. Every sip of Acre Mezcal is an invitation to find YOUR wild spirit. La Tierra de Acre officially launched in Los Angeles at the beginning of 2020, winning awards at the SF Spirits Competition shortly thereafter. Our small batch Mezcaleros, who for generations have been sustainably perfecting their crafts throughout the most rural and beautiful places in Mexico, pour their hearts and souls into these award-winning artisanal mezcals. Each batch is an uncompromising reflection of the creators’ heritage and the land they thrive on. FROM THE EARTH, FOR THE EARTH Sustainability means the world to us at La Tierra de Acre, as it does to our producing partners. We are invested in both the sustainability of our Mezcaleros’ livelihoods and that of their communities, as well as that of the earth that gives us the beautiful Agave plant. SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES: Labels made of repurposed agave fiber waste from our mezcal production Mezcal production waste repurposed into adobe bricks for the local community Protecting the long term viability and biodiversity of wild and exotic agave varietals by allowing full growth for natural pollination, in addition to planting hundreds of thousands of agave seeds in a nursery, which are then moved to the wild as young agave.
