LAIA is a collaborative organization for industrial facilities in SWLA, providing one voice for regional industry. For 25 years, LAIA has successfully served as a channel of communication between industry and the community, civic leaders, elected officials, educators and non-profit organizations. 

Purpose:
-Educate national, state and local civic leaders on issues affecting business, industry and trade.
-Communicate with the public on the advantages and benefits that industry brings to SWLA.
-Encourage local industries to be good stewards of the environment and participate in civic activities.
-Provide information to the community regarding industrial operations that could affect residents.
-Work with local education leaders to enhance the education systems to meet the present and future needs of the industrial community.

LAIA member companies are committed to making a positive environmental impact in SWLA. We prioritize sustainable practices and work diligently to minimize our ecological footprint. By implementing advanced technologies and adhering to stringent environmental regulations, local industry ensures their operations are as environmentally friendly as possible. Upgrades within industry to minimize waste and meet environmental regulations improve efficiency and productivity. Local industry’s goal is to help reduce, recycle and reuse waste. This is both good for the environment and business.
 
Protecting the safety and health of our workforce and the community is not only a key value for LAIA member companies, it is at the core of everything we do. Our member industries are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety. Safety begins with management and continues to supervisors, employees and contractors. Through rigorous training programs, continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborative efforts with local first responders, we strive to create an environment where safety is second nature. Our goal is zero harm.
