Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) is a student-centered, bi-state institution serving California and Nevada with accessible, high-quality education that transforms lives and strengthens our mountain community. LTCC has embraced the evidence-based Guided Pathways framework, creating clear academic and career pathways that help students explore interests, choose a direction, and complete their goals efficiently and affordably. Through Meta Majors, proactive advising, and coordinated wraparound support, students gain the structure and guidance needed to graduate, transfer, or enter the workforce with confidence. The Lake Tahoe College Promise is one of the most comprehensive Promise programs in the state — and the only bi-state Promise in the nation. Eligible first-time, full-time students receive up to three years of free tuition plus dedicated support services. California and Nevada residents, DREAMers, and members and descendants of the Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California can access this opportunity. Students planning to transfer benefit from strong pathways to the University of California, California State University, and other accredited institutions that award full credit for transferable coursework completed at LTCC. The Lisa Maloff University Center expands access to bachelor’s and advanced degrees through university partners, allowing students to complete upper-division coursework without leaving the Lake Tahoe Basin. LTCC also offers career and technical education aligned with regional workforce needs, including the Lake Tahoe Basin Fire Academy and Forestry Education program, along with certificates and associate degrees in high-demand career fields. Rooted in equity, sustainability, and community partnership, LTCC prepares students for meaningful careers, transfer success, and lifelong learning.
