The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is an independent nonprofit organization in the environmental services field, focused on protecting lands, stewarding their use, and preserving the Lakes Region's character and quality of life. Founded in 1979 to conserve New Hampshire’s Lakes Region natural heritage, the organization works to preserve community character, wildlife habitat, diverse ecosystems, and scenic landscapes, while enabling outdoor recreation for people of all ages. LRCT operates as a member-supported entity based in Center Harbor, New Hampshire. To date, LRCT has conserved 145 properties totaling more than 25,000 acres across its conserved lands. In December 2025, the organization announced leadership appointments, naming Lindsay Rosa as Vice President of Conservation Research and Innovation and as its next Executive Director.
