Lakeshore Foundation is a nonprofit organization that promotes independence for people with physically disabling conditions and supports active, healthy lifestyles. It provides fitness, recreation, athletic and education programs for children and adults with conditions such as spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, amputation and visual impairment, as well as individuals with arthritis, diabetes, chronic pain and cardiac conditions. Based on a 45-acre campus in Homewood, Alabama, the facility includes an aquatics center with two pools, a fieldhouse with three hardwood courts and a 200-meter track, a fitness center and a community room, plus an outdoor tennis complex. The campus also hosts partners such as the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and the National MS Society Alabama Chapter, and it operates as an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Site offering sport performance, psychology and sport science services.

Located in Homewood, the organization maintains a substantial staff of qualified professionals. In 2026, Lakeshore Foundation announced a strategic partnership with the United Spinal Association.
