The Land Bank of the Philippines is a government banking institution that pursues a social mandate to promote countryside development while remaining financially viable. Profits from its commercial operations are used to fund the bank's developmental programs and initiatives. Its lending focus covers small farmers and fishers (including agrarian reform beneficiaries), micro and small enterprises, and agri- and aqua-related projects of local government units and government-owned corporations, as well as housing, education, health care, environment, tourism, and utilities. It is the largest formal credit institution in rural areas and ranks among the top five banks in the country by deposits, assets, and loans, with a base in Malate, Metro Manila. In June 2026, LANDBANK Countryside Development Foundation Inc. introduced three tailored loan packages aligned with different levels of business maturity and size.
