Landmark West! is a nonprofit organization based in New York City’s Upper West Side that operates within architecture and planning with a focus on historic preservation. Since 1985, it works to secure landmark status for individual buildings and districts and acts as the grassroots advocate for preservation, maintaining a catalog of nearly 3,500 designated architectural and cultural landmarks from 59th to 110th Streets, Central Park to Riverside Park. The nonprofit runs a range of activities, including public programs, advocacy, and online resources, to raise awareness and reinforce the neighborhood's distinctive character. It administers a Certificate of Appropriateness Committee composed of community residents, architects, historians and preservationists who review permit applications for landmark properties, and offers programs to help businesses preserve storefronts in keeping with the area's character. In December 2025, Landmark West! partnered with MS54 Booker T. Washington Middle School, highlighting collaboration with local schools.
