Launch is a growing public charter school currently serving 6th-8th grade students from Bedford-Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, and surrounding areas in Brooklyn. We believe that every child deserves a high-quality education and that every child should be prepared to succeed in college. At Launch, we believe that students learn best by doing. Working with our institutional partner, NYC Outward Bound Schools, Launch prepares students not only to succeed in the classroom, but to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Launch students will never be asked to simply recite memorized information. Instead, students investigate relevant subject matter, work in the field alongside experts, and present what they have learned in order to demonstrate depth of understanding to their peers, teachers, and parents in various fields of study.
