The law firm of Smith, Dickey, Dempster, Carpenter & Harris, P.A. was founded by W. Ritchie Smith in 1978 when he opened his own law firm.  Ritchie Smith  remains of counsel to the firm.    Ritchie Smith has been practicing law in Fayetteville, North Carolina since 1958.  Pitt Dickey joined the firm in 1978.  Allen Smith joined the firm in 1987.  Andrew Dempster stepped down as a District Court Judge in Cumberland County and joined the firm in 1996.  Jodi Carpenter joined the firm in 1998.  Mark Harris joined the firm in 2003.  We have offices in historic downtown Fayetteville located near the courthouse at 309 and 315 Person Street.  Our firm serves southeastern North Carolina with branch offices in Lumberton and Sanford North Carolina.
