LEDA is a New York City–based nonprofit (501(c)(3)) focused on education administration programs and on diversifying leadership by addressing inequities in access to higher education. It targets low-income high school students across the United States whose socio-economic, racial, or ethnic backgrounds are underrepresented at selective colleges. Through its programs, LEDA aims to create pathways to top universities. Since its inception, the organization has expanded its work and launched initiatives such as College Success, Career and Alumni Services, and the Policy Project. LEDA engages directly with students and collaborates with higher-education partners to deliver its programs. A notable recent development is Yale College's partnership with LEDA to host summer programs for high-achieving rising high school seniors from backgrounds historically underrepresented at selective institutions.
