Leadership Maryland is a nonprofit professional development program that seeks to strengthen Maryland by leveraging the experience of local business and community leaders. Each year, a class of up to 52 diverse executives from Maryland’s public and private sectors participates in an eight-month, hands-on learning program focused on the state’s most pressing social, economic, and environmental issues. The initiative aims to foster collaboration and practical leadership development among participants drawn from across the state. Founded in the early 1990s, with the first class graduating in 1993, Leadership Maryland maintains an alumni network of more than 1,100 leaders from various industries and regions, based in Easton, Maryland. In 2024, the organization launched its Executive Program Class, continuing its tradition of statewide leadership development.
