The League of Nebraska Municipalities is a nonprofit service association formed in 1909 to advocate for Nebraska municipalities at the Nebraska Legislature. Based in Lincoln, it is governed by a 15-member Executive Board comprised of municipal officials. The organization serves a broad membership of cities and villages, totaling more than 394 municipalities, to represent their interests at the state level. Its members include cities and villages that collectively account for about 98% of Nebraskans living in municipalities. Within the civic and social organizations space, the League functions as the voice for municipalities before the Nebraska Legislature.
