Learning Rights Law Center (LRLC) is a nonprofit legal services organization based in Los Angeles, founded in 2005. The center focuses on ensuring equitable access to public education, with particular emphasis on students involved with welfare or juvenile justice systems, those with learning disabilities, and students who are not accessing public education due to language, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, homelessness, or inadequate facilities. LRLC employs advocacy and policy work, education and training, litigation, and development of educational materials to support its mission. Its work addresses the needs of students and families navigating education-related challenges, aiming to remove barriers and promote fair treatment within the public school system. In recent organizational updates, LRLC announced leadership changes, including new executive leadership in 2021.
