LEGACY Real Estate is a commercial real estate company founded by Ken Fishel in 1993. Ken envisioned the creation of a socially-conscious company that would bring his high level of professionalism and experience working in Midtown, to the Downtown, creative neighborhoods. Driven to make a difference in the world, and inspired by the socially-responsible business models of companies at the time like, The Body Shop and Ben and Jerry’s, the name Legacy Real Estate was chosen and a commitment was made: to contribute a piece of every commission to progressive non-profit groups. The fifteen square miles of Manhattan Island have been home to twenty years of business for Legacy Real Estate. In the changing global economy, Legacy has expanded its reach to serve its larger, international clients across the country and around the world. Legacy’s footprints have been left in cities such as Washington DC, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Rio and Sao Paolo.
