Lemelson Vineyards operates a collection of vineyards totaling about 130 acres across five sites in Yamhill County, Oregon, spanning three AVAs—Yamhill-Carlton, Dundee Hills, and Chehalem Mountains—to capture a diversity of terroirs at elevations between 250 and 1,000 feet. The vineyards have been farmed organically from the outset and certified organic since 2004, and the gravity-flow winery reflects a longstanding emphasis on sustainability and wine quality rooted in the founder’s environmental background. The enterprise began when Eric Lemelson planted two acres of Pinot noir on a hillside near Newberg in 1995 and has since expanded into a multi-site operation. The wines are distributed nationwide through fine wine retailers and high-quality restaurants, and a tasting room located just outside Carlton, Oregon, is open daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with winter hours from December through February. In January 2024, Lemelson Vineyards promoted Rebecca Oliver to Director of Sales & Marketing, a move aimed at strengthening its market presence.
