Lewis and Clark Community College is a two-year public institution located in Godfrey, Illinois, serving the Southern Illinois region with an annual enrollment of about 12,000 students. It provides pathways for students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities while also equipping the regional workforce with skills and access to broad educational and cultural opportunities. Instruction is delivered across a network of campuses and centers beyond the Godfrey site, including Edwardsville, Alton, Carlinville, Jerseyville, and Bethalto, plus community education centers and collaborations with public high schools across seven counties, as well as facilities at the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center in East Alton and the Mannie Jackson Center for the Humanities in Edwardsville. In 2026 the college launched an Aviation Mechanics program. As a regional higher education provider, it anchors a range of services that combine academic pathways with workforce development and community engagement.
