Lewis County Health System is a health care provider based in Lowville, New York. It operates a 25-bed critical access hospital, a 160-bed nursing home, and a network of primary and specialty care clinics, hospice and home health services, plus four off-site health centers. On the main campus it houses departments including the Women’s Health Center, Lewis County Surgical Associates, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice. The system employs hundreds of staff and is among the county's largest employers, delivering 24/7 emergency care while reinvesting resources through payroll and local procurement. It operates four off-site centers in Beaver Falls, Copenhagen, Harrisville, and Lyons Falls, staffed by physicians and advanced practice providers employed by the hospital. In May 2026, the organization announced the addition of an internal medicine physician to its medical staff.
