Lewiston Housing acts as the municipal housing authority for Lewiston and neighboring communities, including Greene, Lisbon, Lisbon Falls, and Sabattus. Founded in 1963 and based in Lewiston, Maine, it provides dignified, safe, and affordable housing to eligible residents without discrimination while supporting economic uplift and personal growth. It oversees more than 500 housing units across Public Housing, LIHTC, and naturally occurring affordable housing and administers approximately 1,200 Housing Choice vouchers; HUD has consistently recognized it as a High Performer. It pursues an inclusive approach to housing through a mix of models and partnerships aimed at maximizing impact.
