LexArts is greater Lexington’s premier cultural development, advocacy and fundraising organization.

 

As both the official Local Arts Agency and Central Kentucky’s United Arts Fund, LexArts provides a wide range of programs, initiatives, and services designed to integrate the arts into our daily lives including the LexArts Gallery Hop, LexArts Network, Arts Everywhere for Students: A Teacher’s Guide, Through its annual Fund for the Arts campaign, LexArts raises millions of dollars in support of local arts and distributes general operating support to its Partner Organizations, as well as offers competitive special project and programming grants to dozens of arts organizations in the area.

 

LexArts also operates ArtsPlace, a former YWCA turned cultural edifice, which offers rehearsal space and office space for nonprofit arts organizations. ArtsPlace is also home to LexArts Gallery, one of Lexington’s premier visual art galleries, dedicated to showcasing high quality works by Kentucky artists.
