Liberty Common School is among the nation's top-performing schools.  The school's high-school SAT composite score is the highest in the entire state of Colorado.

Liberty Common School is a public charter school, the academic foundation of which is the Core Knowledge Sequence.  Character education figures prominently in the instructional approach of the school which serves kindergarten through 12th-grade students.  

Opened in 1997, Liberty Common School was one of Colorado's first charter schools and the first to deploy the Core Knowledge curriculum in the state.

Liberty's consistently high standardized-test performance is a function of 100% Core Knowledge Curriculum, enhanced science curriculum, an emphasis on fairness in education and parental involvement, and a relaxed-uniform dress code. 

Built around the Core curriculum are additions in science from Project 2061, Singapore Math, Riggs Writing Road to Reading, Open Court reading program with strong phonics & literacy

Liberty's Board of Directors is comprised of 7 elected parents who oversee and establish educational and operational policies of the school. The Board meets twice a month to scrutinize school operations and receive reports from the school's professional staff. All meetings are open to the public.
