LifeBUILDERS is a non-profit, faith-based organization in Detroit. The mission of LifeBUILDERS is to restore dignity and provide hope to the residents of Regent Park by empowering youth, reclaiming an entire neighborhood from the effects of disinvestment by providing safe, high quality affordable housing, and building a community of shared values, trust and hope for the future, all grounded in the truth of God’s Word. We believe that a three-pronged strategy of empowering the youth, reclaiming the neighborhood from blight and crime through strategic reinvestment, and the building of community amongst residents that engages them in the transformation of the neighborhood is the solution. We further believe that this can only be made possible through the extension of God’s love and grace that is found in Jesus Christ.
