The mission of LifeLine Pilots is to coordinate free air transportation for passengers with medical or humanitarian needs far from home. Founded in 1981, LifeLine Pilots is the oldest volunteer pilot organization of its kind in the United States. Headquartered in Peoria, IL, we primarily operate in a 10-state region in the upper Midwest covering Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee but regularly participate in joint missions from the Rockies to the East Coast. With the generosity of over 450 volunteer pilots, we’ve been able to fly in excess of 8,000 missions covering over 5,000,000 nautical miles with an exemplary safety record. Since our inception, we’ve facilitated air travel for individuals of all ages and participated in relief efforts when natural disasters have occurred. We operate as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is funded by individuals, corporations, and foundations.
