LIFESPAN Services is a Charlotte-based nonprofit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities access education, employment, and enrichment opportunities to participate in their communities. The organization began in 1973 after five local children were excluded from public schools, with a group of parents launching an educational day program at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. In 1980 the program moved into its own facility, broadened its scope to serve adults with disabilities, and expanded outreach beyond Charlotte; in 2000 it adopted the name LIFESPAN Services to reflect its lifelong perspective.

Today, it operates as a mid-sized nonprofit delivering more than 100 programs and services across more than 20 counties in North Carolina, touching the lives of more than 1,000 individuals. A 2022 partnership with EarthKind, Inc. supports inclusive recruitment and ongoing progress monitoring, illustrating collaboration with external partners.
