Little Black Pearl is a multidisciplinary arts and culture organization rooted in Chicago’s South Side and committed to creative expression, education, and community connection.

Located in the Kenwood–Oakland neighborhood, Little Black Pearl operates as a cultural hub where art, design, and entrepreneurship intersect. Our work centers Black culture and creative practice while serving a diverse, multigenerational community of artists, learners, and collaborators from across Chicago.

The Art & Design Center is a 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility that houses studios, classrooms, gathering spaces, and mission-aligned programs. Through hands-on learning, exhibitions, workshops, public programs, and partnerships, Little Black Pearl supports artistic development, workforce readiness, and creative exploration for youth, adults, and families.

As an artist-founded organization, Little Black Pearl continues to evolve in response to community needs—using art as a tool for personal growth, cultural preservation, and collective possibility.
