Lorain County JVS is a government-administered education organization providing career-technical training to high school and adult learners in Lorain County. Founded in 1971, its 10-acre campus in Oberlin houses both a career-technical high school and an adult career center, offering nationally accredited programs across multiple career areas. It serves students from 13 districts, with more than 1,000 high school students on campus annually and satellite programs reaching additional students in surrounding districts. The Adult Career Center serves about 3,000 adults each year, delivering full-time career programs as well as numerous short-term courses, customized training, job profiling, and assessment services for business and industry on-site or at the JVS. Operating in the government administration and workforce development space, the school aligns its curriculum with industry needs to support local employers and a skilled regional workforce. In 2025, Lorain County JVS announced partnerships with Lorain County Community College, North Ridgeville City Schools, and O'Neill Healthcare to implement the Ohio Technical Center Plus model to prepare high-demand healthcare careers for students while still in high school.
