The Loudonville Public Library serves the city of Loudonville, Ohio, and traces its origins to 1905 when a community group established a reading room to organize public library services. It operates from a 26,000-plus square foot facility located beside Central Park, a development that followed a 1976 building project and later expansions. The library has continually updated its materials and services to reflect changes in technology and information delivery, maintaining a contemporary public library for patron needs. It participates in the Serving Every Ohioan Consortium, which provides access to a shared online catalog and more than six million items from roughly 175 libraries statewide. In 2018, the library partnered with the Cleo Redd Fisher Museum to present a World War I and America exhibition, demonstrating collaboration with local cultural institutions.
