Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC), together with the Electricity Settlements Company (ESC), are government-owned entities that support the UK's goals for secure, affordable, and sustainable electricity. Under the Contracts for Difference framework, LCCC administers contracts with low-carbon electricity generators to incentivize investment in renewable energy. ESC handles all financial transactions and related assurances under the Capacity Market scheme.
