Lucas Capital Management, LLC ("LCM") was founded in 1996 by George B. Lucas Jr. and his son, Russell Lucas. Today, the firm manages over $700 million across 4 hedge funds, 3 private equity funds and our legacy private wealth management business. The firm is a Registered Investment Advisor. Our hedge and private equity funds are both focused in energy and are for qualified clients only. For our private wealth management business, we seek strategies with consistent, long-term growth as well as tax managed current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of well-established companies. We look for strong growth and fundamentals, yet a reasonable PE. We believe in a balance of stocks, bonds, and royalty trusts. The allocation between these classes of securities depends on the goals, needs and risks of each client. This needs analysis is determined by a thorough personal interview. In addition to day to day research and portfolio management, we feel that the most valuable service to our client relationships is the overall market judgments and the persuasion offered to help clients choose and feel comfortable with their investment expectations, strategy and allocation of assets.
