FOUNDED IN 1989, Lucy Daniels Center is the largest nonprofit provider of social, emotional, behavioral and mental health services exclusively for children in the Triangle area. We serve more than 700 children and their families yearly and provide more than 20,000 hours of direct social, emotional, and mental health services to children from birth to age 12, the time of life when the most effective interventions are possible.

Lucy Daniels Center provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic and educational programs:

-Lucy Listens,  4 hours of free, short-term, solutions-focused support for parents and their children who are navigating the Covid-19 crisis, provided by a licensed mental health counselor. 

-Lucy Daniels School, Lucy Daniels School, a therapeutic day school for children who are experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties at home or in school.

-Farley-Manning Family Guidance Center, onsite or telehealth evaluations and therapy for children ages birth-12

-SecurePath, a comprehensive mental health outreach service for young children in Wake County provided at the child’s home or preschool.

-Lucy's Link, providing free observations and assessments of children who are exhibiting difficulties with social, emotional or behavioral development.

-Circle of Security, a secure attachment between child and parents or caregiver is critical to a child’s current and future well being.
