The Luxembourg American Cultural Society (LACS) was founded in 2004 by Americans of Luxembourg ancestry as well as private citizens and government officials from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The LACS is affiliated with Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture, Higher Education and Research. The mission of the LACS is two-fold: 1. to preserve Luxembourg heritage/culture in America, and, 2. to foster continued relationships of family, friendship, commerce and tourism between America and Luxembourg. The LACS operates an international cultural center celebrating Luxembourg and Luxembourg heritage/culture in America. The LACS has a current membership of nearly 800 members throughout the US and Luxembourg and offers numerous cultural program throughout the year. It is governed by a Board of Directors with directors from throughout the US and Luxembourg.
