Our location is convenient to the Chesapeake Bay, inland waterway, Atlantic Ocean, the U.S. Naval Base in Norfolk, and the Naval Amphibious Base at Little Creek, which allows us to provide fast and efficient service to our customers.

Lyon Shipyard prides itself on a rich and colorful history. Established in 1928 by George C. Lyon, Sr., through the acquisition of numerous facilities and equipment, our yard has grown in the ship repair industry for over 80 years. With roots that grow deep and strong, Lyon Shipyard has developed in its current location with the dedication and support of our loyal employees, and customers that return year after year for high quality repairs and maintenance they have come to expect from Lyon.
