De patiënt kiest immers niet meer vanzelfsprekend voor het dichtstbijzijnde ziekenhuis, maar zoekt naar de beste zorg en service met de kortste wachttijd, desnoods in het buitenland. De mate waarin men daaraan tegemoet komt, bepaalt mede het succes en het imago van een ziekenhuis. Binnen het azM zijn vrijwel alle specialismen en subspecialismen aanwezig, zodat we een volledig pakket aan ziekenhuiszorg kunnen leveren voor de patiënten van Maastricht en omgeving. Naast de standaard patiëntenzorg neemt binnen het azM de topreferente en topklinische zorg een belangrijke plaats in.
