MacAllister is headquartered in Indianapolis. The acquisition of our neighboring Michigan CAT dealer in 2011 marked a significant milestone in MacAllister's journey. Michigan CAT, founded in 1944 as Michigan Tractor and Machinery Co., had a long successful history of leadership and growth. The combined resources and best practices of both organizations enhanced customer service across Indiana and Michigan, creating a stronger, more versatile company. The first MacAllister Rental location opened in August of 1999 as part of the MacAllister Family of Companies (MFC) on the west side of Indianapolis. We opened our first Michigan rental store in 2012. In 2013, MacAllister purchased Titan Equipment in Michigan and acquired 5 more rental locations.
