Macho Products was established in 1980 by 8th Degree Tae Kwon Do Grandmaster, Soo Se Cho. In recognizing the need for greater safety in martial arts, the company’s primary mission was to design and manufacture a line of high-quality protective martial arts sparring gear. This “by martial artists for martial artists” approach has propelled Macho into a leadership position.  As an industry that had yet to develop such finely designed safety equipment, and which had few, if any, safety guidelines, Macho focused on becoming a driving force in the industry; (1) for safety through innovative protective products, (2) quickly assuming a leadership role in establishing industry standards for safe products and usage, and (3) quality manufacturing, showcasing business leadership and environmental responsibility.     

In 1984, Macho's expertise in blunt trauma protection led the Director of Training for the Secret Service to request a line of defensive tactics training gear specifically to serve law enforcement and military training needs. Today, RedMan Training Gear, a division of Macho Products, is the leading manufacturer of training gear for full spectrum use of force continuum training. 

As Macho grew and attained a leadership position in foam manufacturing, so did requests for Macho to manufacture gear and products for other industries. Today, Macho Products, Inc. family of brands includes:
