Based in Springfield, Massachusetts, Mad Science of Western New England was founded  in 1998 in Northampton, Massachusetts. The organization is owned and operated by SciAntics Group Businesses and is part of the world-wide Mad Science Group consisting of 160 independently owned organizations throughout the globe. Founded and headquartered in Montreal, Mad Science has been developing and providing innovative "edu-tainment" programs for kids for over 30 years.

Mad Science is dedicated to programming for after-school and other topics in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) as it expands its base beyond traditional science subjects.
