MADE SA is a French manufacturer that designs, develops, and markets devices intended to improve the safety, monitoring, and reliability of electrical, gas, and telecommunications distribution networks. Founded in 1991 and based in the Var region of southern France, the company structures its offerings around five areas: Exploitation électrique, Géo-détection, Détection, Télécommunications, and Défense. Its Exploitation électrique line focuses on operation, measurement, and analysis of networks to identify physical faults on cables before outages occur. The Géo-détection and Détection lines address locating buried pipelines, conduits, and other network elements, including gas pipelines and underground cables; the Détection des lignes aériennes covers detection of high- and very high-voltage aerial lines. MADE serves utilities and telecom operators and has conducted defense-related studies for national defense authorities, resulting in systems for telecommunications and underwater acoustic signal recording. Its studies office also counts major accounts such as EDF, GDF, and Orange among its clients.
