Magellan E & P Holdings, Inc is an independent Oil and Gas company, privately owned, with offices conveniently located in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas.

Magellan focuses on small to medium size oil and gas prospects both onshore and the offshore shelf region of the Gulf of Mexico in proven Hydrocarbon plays and mature fields. The Company has particular expertise in production areas that exhibit tight or high clay, low resistivity pay. Magellan has to date acquired a total of 6 leases located both onshore and offshore in areas previously produced by large independents or previously drilled areas with known productive sands.

Magellan believes that production techniques and large draw downs that were utilized by the major oil companies have contributed significantly to the premature demise of the shelf and onshore prospects. These older reservoirs were never swept of hydrocarbons which resulted in poorer recovery rates and net loss of revenue to both the operator and the Government. After many years of abandonment these undrained resources have migrated and established new Gas Water contact levels and based on our observations significant pressure recovery.

With high commodity prices and a forecasted increase in demand then the Gulf of Mexico in both the onshore and offshore regions remains one of the world’s most attractive exploration areas for the smaller independent companies such as Magellan and we are committed to maximize returns for our investors and partners.
