MahoganyBooks is a small independent bookstore based in Washington, DC, focused on literature by, for, or about people of the African Diaspora. It began online in 2007 and opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Ward 8 Anacostia in 2017. The enterprise frames itself around social entrepreneurship and seeks to promote reading and cultural awareness to support self-esteem and community development.

Founders Derrick and Ramunda bring more than twenty years of combined experience in the retail book industry, shaping a model that blends contemporary technology with independent bookstore traditions. In 2020, the shop launched Black Books2Go, a curbside pickup service. It has expanded with Maryland locations in Fort Washington and National Harbor and has hosted numerous literary events and book donations in the DMV area.
