Wholesale Building Materials2-10 Employees

Maine Heritage Timber, based in Millinocket, Maine, operates in the wholesale building materials sector. It specializes in custom flooring, millwork, furniture, and wainscoting crafted from sunken virgin growth timber recovered from the Penobscot River during the logging era. The timber has been preserved for more than a century and is reclaimed to produce wood products that are exceptionally rare and not readily available elsewhere. The company also preserves timberland, protecting approximately 1,000 acres from cutting each year to support ecosystem revival. Its customers include LL Bean, Sugarloaf Ski Resorts, The River Drivers Restaurant, and Florida's Moxie Restaurant. Purchases are handled by phone or online, and the company has engaged in partnerships such as a 2016 collaboration with Dovewayme to supply reclaimed wood accents.
