Mapúa University is a higher education institution in the Philippines with campuses in Intramuros, Manila, and Makati City, and it operates Malayan Colleges Laguna in Southern Luzon and Malayan High School of Science in Pandacan, Manila. It was founded on January 25, 1925 by Don Tomas Mapúa, an architecture graduate of Cornell University and the first registered Filipino architect. It was the first school in East Asia to obtain ABET accreditation for eleven engineering programs and ABET Computing Accreditation for two computing programs. The university is part of the Mapúa Education Group, maintains international linkages and on-the-job training programs to prepare students for global practice, and collaborates with companies and universities for research and development. Since 2016, Mapúa has offered Senior High School with four strands: STEM, HUMSS, ABM, and GAS, and it envisions a digital, research-driven, outcomes-based, international domain as part of its DROID strategy. The institution employs between 1,001 and 5,000 people, and its revenue is reported in the range of $10 million to $25 million.
