The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit that funds post-secondary education for qualified children of Marines and Navy corpsmen in need. It gives special attention to dependents whose parent was wounded or killed in action, seeking to preserve access to higher education in difficult circumstances. Founded in 1962 and based in Alexandria, Virginia, it is recognized as the nation's oldest nonprofit dedicated to need-based scholarships for military children and one of the largest in its field. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than 50,000 scholarships totaling more than $185 million. In the current academic year, it awarded about $10 million to around 2,600 recipients, and in 2024 it announced a multi-year partnership with the Baltimore Ravens.
