Marine Resources Council (MRC) is a 30 year old, 501(c)3 charitable organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Indian River Lagoon, a severely degraded coastal estuary that covers 1/3 of Florida’s east coast. MRC accomplishes its mission through three key program areas: 1) Education, 2) Research and 3) Habitat Restoration. In 2017, the organization will have five (5) full-time staff members, five (5) part-time staff, four (4) funded internships, and over 1,000 dedicated and event volunteers. MRC is a membership driven organization that operates out of the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House in Palm Bay, FL
