Mark Asset Management,  founded in 1985, is an independent, SEC-registered investment adviser based in New York City. The firm manages high conviction, growth oriented, long biased Hedge Fund and Long Only strategies. The investment team is led by Morris Mark. Mr. Mark is an award winning investment professional with decades of equity investment experience.  He has a significant investment in the firm’s strategies.

Growth At a Discount: Our "growth at a discount" investment process focuses on the identification of structural trends (secular, technological, political, industrial) and determining which businesses are best positioned to benefit from these trends over a 2 to 3 year investment horizon. They are generally industry leading businesses led by proven management teams with shareholder alignment. These companies are positioned for meaningful growth and have strong and improving financial positions.  They will generally have: i) high after tax return on capital, ii) significant and growing free cash flow, iii) healthy balance sheets and iv) attractive valuations with downside protection. These companies often have high barriers to entry and powerful business models with significant operating leverage. The short book (in the long biased, hedge fund) contains companies that are overvalued or poorly positioned in contrast to the above mentioned criteria.
