Based in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy, Martinelli Luce designs and manufactures lighting solutions that balance aesthetic appeal with everyday practicality. Founded in 1953 by Elio Martinelli, the company is still led by his daughter Emiliana as chairwoman and his grandson Marco as chief executive. Its portfolio features iconic designs such as Pipistrello, Serpente, and Cobra, which draw on geometric forms and natural inspiration.

Its offerings span indoor and outdoor lighting, technical systems, and decorative lamps, and it collaborates with designers and architects to develop custom solutions for public, commercial, and residential settings. The firm has earned international design recognition, including the Compasso d'Oro, iF Product Design Award, and the German Design Award, and its products appear in major design collections such as the Triennale in Milan and MoMA. In April 2026, Martinelli Luce launched a special-edition Pipistrello lamp in collaboration with the Musée d'Orsay to celebrate the Paris museum's opening anniversary.
