The company was first started as an extension of Aethrian, a start-up company in Silicon Valley arising from the consulting activity of a small group of talented engineers working on a wireless broadband communication technology that would enable by proper use of array processing data rates in excess of 1Gb/sec over arbitrary radio links. The transition to a more specialized market allowed the Company to capture a reputation for high performance, high precision, wireless equipment. In 2007 and 2008 the Company was awarded a first and large lot of US Government contracts. By 2009, MRT offered a wide array of tactical portable solutions to its customers and was included in standard kits. In 2012, strong with vast amounts of experience resulting from deployments and field support the Company started development of 4G. 

In 2015-2016, several product lines revolve around rugged multi-protocol (2G/3G/4G and WIFI) active and passive monitoring and network control solutions.
