(MITI) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marubeni-Itochu Steel Inc., Japan (MISI) that was formed on October 1, 2001 with the merger of the Steel Division of Marubeni Corporation and the Metals Division of ITOCHU Corporation. Marubeni and Itochu are both publicly listed companies, but their origins are the same that started in Ohmi in the middle of the 19th century. The Ohmi tradesmen’s principal business concept consisted of the Three-Way Benefit which was viewed as the foundation of all business.
