MassBioEd Foundation is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based nonprofit focused on strengthening the life sciences workforce through education. It aims to inspire students, engage teachers, and clarify pathways from classroom learning to scientific careers in the region. The foundation runs programs that train high school educators, expose students to college and career options in the life sciences, and provide industry with data on job trends to guide training and reduce the skills gap. It launched a life sciences apprenticeship program in 2021 to broaden access to careers for individuals from underrepresented groups. In 2023 it introduced the Life Sciences Career Hub to connect people from lower-income communities or communities of color with STEM opportunities, and in 2026 Massachusetts Life Sciences Center partnered with MassBioEd to support the 11th Annual Life Science Workforce Conference.
